Murray Thom – Entreprenur of the Decade Synopsis.

Murray Thom left school at 15 with no qualifications. By the age of 23 he was Managing Director of CBS Records New Zealand, the youngest Managing Director of that group in the world. With a strong desire to be self-employed he left the corporate life to strike out on his own. "Sometimes you have to stop grinding, lift your head and go to the top of the mast to find out what direction you're going in." He won the government tender in 1987 to introduce personalised number plates in New Zealand. In 1997 he sold that company to return to his real passion – the music business. Oprah Winfrey named his production, the 'Together' 10 CD Collection, her 'Favourite Thing' of the year. Murray was also named one of the Top 10 Entrepreneurs of the decade.

The sign on the front door of Murray's St Helier's Bay, Auckland office says it all:

"Registered office of Thom Marketing. Please note: When the wind exceeds 15 knots this office becomes the St Heliers Bay Yacht Club. MEMBERSHIP BY INVITATION"

Murray Thom left school at 15 with no qualifications. By the age of 23 he was Managing Director of CBS Records New Zealand, the youngest Managing Director of that group in the world. The rest as they say is "history".

Murray covers his incredible story and he is very excited about his new keynote which he calls "Giving a Performance Worthy of a Standing Ovation"

In this incredible presentation Murray shares a number of stories of what he haslearned in the music and entertainment business. Withsome amazing footage from 'Les Mis', 'The Phantom of the Opera', and Celine Dion's Show 'A New Day' in Las Vegas - your audience will love it!

In Murray's own words;

"I have spent my entire career in the recording and entertainment business. People at the top of their game have taught me so much. Here’s what I find totally inspiring about professional artists such as the late Rob Guest and Celine Dion.

Every day of their lives they had to deliver the performance of their life.

Every day they were confronted with a new audience that they have to win over, night after night from scratch.

How do they deliver the same line 3,000 times with the same passion and energy?

What must it feel like to every day have your performance judged and as a result, receive or not receive a standing ovation?

These questions both challenge and inspire me greatly."

Have Murray speak with your group and it will change the way they live their lives and do business forever!
