On 16 July 2001 Alastair Ferguson's world changed forever when his seven-year-old daughter, Emma, was diagnosed with a brain tumour. That event gave him a wake up call that forced him right outside his comfort zone

Alastair’s down-to-earth, no-nonsense approach stems from his dairy farming background. This experience enabled him to become a rising star at Alfa Laval, a leading global provider of fluid handling equipment and a major player in New Zealand’s dairy industry. Alastair joined Alfa Laval as an area sales manager based in Hamilton and in less than five years had been promoted to international service manager based in Sweden. During this time he:

• Restructured Alfa Laval’s international agricultural selling service program
• Developed and implemented a strategic marketing plan
• Coordinated reporting from 6 regional managers and 35 service company managers worldwide

Home and an entrepreneurial calling beckoned, so Alastair returned to New Zealand to pursue business opportunities.

He successfully developed a Food distribution business, increasing turnover by 321% in just two years.

He then established and built up a consulting business that successfully developed, facilitated and implemented strategic and operational business plans and performance management processes.

Following a family health crisis, Alastair wrote and self published the bestselling book – Stand Up and Shout – Kiwi Success Unplugged!

Through his company, Stand Up and Shout Ltd, he now inspires people to live their dreams. The purpose of the organisation is to help individuals become more successful and live their dreams.
