| Doug Robertson is a Director of an Auckland based Business Consultancy with affiliates in the U.S.A., U.K., and Australia. He is a specialist in negotiation techniques. |

Doug attended Trinity Academy and Edinburgh College of Art where he studied Commercial Art and Graphic Design .He worked in the graphic design industry in the U.K. prior to immigrating to New Zealand in 1968.
In New Zealand he worked in the Graphic Design area of the printing industry before moving into the Sales and Marketing field.
Doug has held the positions of National Sales Manager, Marketing Manager and Advertising and Sales Promotions Manager with several prominent New Zealand and multi-national companies and was actively involved in setting up a number of national retail buying groups.
He lectured in Marketing, Service Marketing, Sales and Sales Management for the Faculty of Commerce and the Faculty of Arts at the Auckland Institute of Technology and currently conducts short courses for both the Auckland University of Technology and The University of Auckland Business School.
Doug has a long association with the New Zealand Institute of Management and has developed and presented successful training courses for the Auckland, Canterbury and Otago Divisions since 1988. He was a faculty member of the NZIM (Auckland) Advanced Executive and Management Development Programmes and is a current faculty member of the Otago NZIM Advanced Executive Programme.
He is an accredited facilitator of the Leaderskills (Australia) Pty. ‘ 360 degree Upward Feedback’ Management Development Programme and a member of The New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation.
Doug has consulted to a wide range of companies in the Manufacturing, Retail, Finance, Agricultural and Service sectors in New Zealand and Australia and has been involved in both management development and research projects for Professional Associations, Local Government, Not-for-profit organisations and Educational Institutions.
Doug’s special area of expertise is negotiation and his ‘Negotiation Skills’ and ‘Advanced Negotiation Skills’ programmes have been successfully used in-house by many companies, professional associations, trade unions and local government authorities in both Australia and New Zealand.
