| Glenda Hughes is New Zealand's leading speaker on creating and communicating a winnining environment. And she should know. Glenda has worked with some of New Zealand's top sporting celebrities and knows first hand what it takes. |

Glenda Hughes has been described as a strong and independent thinker who tenaciously pursues her goals of professionalism and principles without fear or favour.
A former sportswoman, Glenda is a National Championship shot put record holder, a Commonwealth Games Representative and holder of four New Zealand power lifting records. She has worked with the NZ Olympic Games Committee and is still involved in sport today as advisor to many of our top athletes, in media relations and other management support programmes.
Glenda's 18 years with the New Zealand Police force, in a variety of roles including the riot squad during the 1981 Springbok Tour, and a BA with a double major in Sociology and Criminology, have given her an incredible ability to deal with people at all levels and to understand what motivates us, and how we function and communicate. She is a guest lecturer in marketing, communication and managing change at several universities.
Her communication skills extend to both the written and spoken word. Her book, 'Looking for Trouble: Behind the Scenes of the NZ Media', was released in 2003. She regularly consults with business leaders here in New Zealand and across the Tasman using lessons learned in the sporting world as a model for how we perform in business, and how to obtain the best from yourself and your most valuable asset – your team.
Glenda's ability to relate to people at all levels, her intelligence and humour, make her the ideal speaker.
